Are losing theirs…and blaming it on you.
If you can trust yourself
When all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too
-“If” by Rudyard Kippling
They are the opening lines of the poem “IF" by Rudyard Kippling.
The poem “IF” is one of my father, Berry Gordy’s, favorite poems. He had all his children memorize it and I had my child, Raif-Henok memorize it as well.
It’s a powerful piece.

Who me? Thanks for asking.
I seem to have a lot of “background noise” in my head these days — thoughts “ping-ponging” around my brain.
My mind is constantly replaying headlines I read, social media posts I see, and newscasts I can’t seem to hide from. Everything seems to be screaming at me “BEWARE!”

Everything seems to be screaming "You’re not safe and it’s ‘that guy’s’ fault!”
Whew….THAT is a LOT on the nervous system!
